The Grassroots Restaurant Group always brings an outstanding dining experience. Delicious cocktails, amazing food that is prepared to perfection and attention to service. This is the place to go in Regina. The ambience is also beautiful in this old building setting with sky high ceilings but paired with modern comfortable seating. Perfect for any special occasion.

Our most recent trip to Avenue was even better than our previous visits! The restaurant was very busy so clearly other people are also discovering their food.
I really like what they have done with the interior. They have preserved the classic features of the former bank and updated it with partial walls and booths that reduce the echoes of the hard surfaces.
We started with a round of their craft cocktails. The great ingredients and attention to flavours foreshadowed the food. The use of vintage glasses with contemporary cocktails seemed to reflect the idea of the classic interior updated with contemporary materials.
I had the scallops to start. The sear was perfect and the sauce had a great balance of flavours and acid to complement the scallops.
My entrée was the beef Wellington with a side of seared foie gras. The Wellington and foie gras were perfectly cooked. In some restaurants the sides are afterthoughts. At Avenue the creamed kale side was a delight.
We paired a 2014 Chateau Beaucastel. It was a little cool straight from their cellar, but they decanted it and it opened up beautifully as it warmed. It has solid fruit flavours at its core with a little anise note. It is nicely balanced from start to its long finish.
I ordered their new chocolate soufflé for dessert. It was very airy and lighter in flavour than other chocolate souffles I have had.
I closed the meal with a glass of Penfolds Grandfather which is the perfect finish to a chocolate dessert. -

Really delicious food. Fantastic for groups, dates, or even if you're by yourself traveling for business. Team spirited crew that pours their heart into delicious food, drinks, and comforting service. This is my de facto place to eat in Regina, and I've tried everything on the menu - this place will not disappoint, love it!

I felt like I wasn't even in Regina when dining here. Had the Beef Wellington, which was amazing. I have had Wellington at Gordon Ramsay's in Vegas and Gibby's in Montreal, and this was not shameful at all in comparison. Service was excellent, food was fantastic. Very impressive!

We had the opportunity to attend a private event with chefs Nathan Guggenheimer, Dale McKay & Dustin Gallagher. The place was packed and ran efficiently with care for customers. The only reason I would give this 4 stars rather than 5 is that although the food was good, it wasn't surprising-- a little too comfortable for a high end culinary experience.
